NORMAN E. S. GREENE, SPECIAL COUNSEL

Norman E. S. Greene graduated cum laude from Columbia University Law School in 1965 and has practiced law in Buffalo since his admission to the New York Bar in November, 1965. He has considerable experience in various areas of complex civil litigation, including environmental and toxic tort litigation and construction/labor law litigation. He is primarily responsible for the firm's considerable appellate practice. He was a partner in private practice for many years as well as an Assistant U.S. Attorney where he handled the prosecution of organized crime and drug-related cases.

Mr. Greene has appeared before the Appellate Division and New York Court of Appeals on many occasions. Most recently, he was successful in representing defendants in Court of Appeals decisions in Misseritti v Mark IV Construction, et al and DiPonzio v United Refining Co., et al. Misseritti was a landmark decision in §240 Labor Law litigation. The DiPonzio decision revisited the very roots of tort law emanating from Justice Cardozo's decision in Palsgraf.
